​​South London Peregrines

Based on one of my fave birds - the Peregrine Falcon, who I have recently discovered, have breeding pairs in South London! (my neck of the woods).
They’ve been spotted making nests in Battersea Power Station, atop Ealing Hospital, and even in a church in West Norwood.

These guys have been lovingly illustrated using my favourite palette of black, white and metalic inks, on some beautifully textured paper

Captivated by the incredibly bold structure of some Chrysanthemums that I bought in M&S - they sat there in the afternoon light begging me to paint them,
which I duly did.

Magnolia Series

I recently learned that magnolias are one of the world's oldest flowering plants, predating bees!
And that they are usually pollinated by beetles. Fascinating!
